Dubbo Regional Council Public Safety Camera System
Dubbo Regional Council has a long-standing commitment to ensuring safety for all people who live in, work in and visit the Dubbo Local Government Area (LGA). Dubbo Regional Council’s CCTV program is a key initiative aimed at enhancing actual and perceived safety in public spaces across the Dubbo Regional LGA.
The objectives of the Dubbo Regional Council CCTV program are to:
- Reduce the opportunity for crime against people and property in public spaces by deterring potential offenders
- Assist Police with the deployment of resources to prevent crime in public spaces and respond to emergencies and other safety risks
- Assist police with the detection and investigation of crime and safety risks in public spaces
- Reduce the risk of reoffending by providing police with recorded images as evidence to assist in the prosecution of offenders
