SPARC SUPPORT GRANT PROGRAM NOW OPEN
Dubbo Regional Council’s (DRC) is calling for applications for the first round of the 2024/2025 SPARC Support Grant Program with $10,000 available to be shared between cultural programs and projects in the Dubbo region.
The SPARC Support Grant program is open to community groups, organisations and individuals for projects and programs that align with actions under the SPARC Cultural Development Plan.
“A total of $10,000 will be available as part of this round of funding for community organisations to share,” DRC Cultural Development Coordinator Jessica Moore said.
“This is the second year of the SPARC Support Grant Program and to date we have supported 10 different community organisations supporting cultural projects and programs such as University of the Third Age programs, a Dubbo Film Society event and the Digitisation of Dundullimal Homestead collection to name a few.”
“The SPARC Support Cultural Program aims to provide funding to community organisations and creative practitioners to deliver programs and projects that directly support the actions in Council’s SPARC Cultural Development Plan.”
Community organisations who are planning cultural programs and projects in the next six to 12 months are encouraged to apply for funding.
“It is hoped this grant continues to foster and develop more cultural programs in the Dubbo Region,” Ms Moore said.
Applicants must meet the criteria based on how the project or program directly supports the actions within the SPARC Cultural Development Plan.
The SPARC Grant Program is administered as a bi-annual online grant program facilitated through SmartyGrants.
DRC will provide $20,000 annually for the SPARC Grant program with a share of $10,000 available across two rounds.
Applications must be completed via SmartyGrants and will not be accepted via paper, email or fax. Applications open on Monday 23 September and close 5pm Monday 28 October 2024.
