APPLICATIONS INVITED FOR MINOKAMO SISTER CITY EXCHANGE PROGRAM
An incredible opportunity awaits high school students aged between 15 and 18 in Dubbo LGA! Applications for the Sister City Student Exchange Program to our Sister City, Minokamo, Japan, are now open.
This exchange program offers a unique chance to live abroad, immerse yourself in Japanese culture, and experience day-to-day life within a different community. Ten student positions and two chaperone positions are available for this exciting Minokamo exchange.

- Destination: Minokamo, Japan
- Travel Dates: 29th Sept -11th Oct 2024
- Program Highlights:
- Cultural activities and sightseeing tours in Minokamo
- Side trips to Tokyo and Tokyo Disneyland
- Attend school abroad and experience a different way of learning
- Build lasting friendships and connections
- Affordability: The program is affordable, with a $1000 subsidy provided by Council for successful applicants to offset airfares and travel costs.
- Accommodation: Students will stay with local families in Minokamo, providing a close-up experience of different traditions and customs.
- Reciprocal Exchange: Dubbo exchange students and chaperones will also host a visitor from Minokamo in July/August 2024 when the exchange groups visit Dubbo.
