This autumn is a great time to be a Hometown Hero and support the Dubbo region’s amazing tourist attractions by exploring your own backyard. Take advantage of great offers to tourist attractions in the Dubbo Region simply by being a resident of the Dubbo Regional Council local government area*. These local offers include:

  • Free entry for Dubbo region residents at the Old Dubbo Gaol
  • 50 per cent off the regular ticket price at Wellington Caves
  • Discounted mates’ rates entry or Zoo Friends’ memberships at Taronga Western Plains Zoo
  • 25 per cent off the regular ticket price at the Royal Flying Doctor Visitor Experience

There are plenty of activities that are free of charge including a walk through the tranquil Shoyoen Japanese Gardens. Let the kids enjoy some playtime at one of the many playgrounds across the region including the Adventure Playground in Dubbo and Cameron Park Playground in Wellington. There is also an opportunity to nourish your creative soul for free at the Western Plains Cultural Centre. See the Art Express, Waste 2 Art and the Shani Nottingham: A lot of little nothings exhibitions all on display during the school holidays.
