DUBBO DAY AWARD NOMINATIONS NOW OPEN
Dubbo Regional Council (DRC) is calling for nominations for the 2023 Dubbo Day Awards which recognise volunteers who have made a valuable contribution to the Dubbo community.
The Dubbo Day Awards mark the anniversary of Dubbo’s gazettal as a village on 23 November 1849.
Nominations are now open and will close at 5pm, Friday 20 October 2023.
“It is important to recognise and highlight the significant contribution volunteers make in our community. Volunteers provide their time and skills in so many ways in our community all of which focus on improving the lives across the Dubbo region,” DRC Mayor Mathew Dickerson said.
“The Dubbo Day Awards are a great way to acknowledge someone you know who volunteers and has a positive impact in our community.”
“We really encourage people to submit their nominations before Friday 20 October,” Mayor Dickerson said.
Award recipients are selected from the nominees by a committee of community members.
The Dubbo Day Awards ceremony will be held on 23 November 2023 at the Savannah Room, Taronga Western Plains Zoo.
Nominations for the 2023 Dubbo Day Awards can be submitted online at https://www.dubbo.nsw.gov.au/Community-Groups/Community-Awards-and-Tours/dubbo-day-awards.
