OCTOBER COMMUNITY LEADERS’ MEET AND GREET
Community members are invited to a meet and greet with their local community leaders at the Dubbo Farmers’ Markets on Saturday 7 October.
Dubbo Regional Council Mayor Mathew Dickerson and fellow Councillors will host the event, with Councillors and Council staff standing alongside State Member for Dubbo Dugald Saunders MP and Federal Member for Parkes, The Hon Mark Coulton MP.
Clr Dickerson said it was a genuine opportunity for all community members to come along and talk about ideas and issues they have that cross all areas of government responsibility.
“It is always a valuable and enjoyable morning, connecting with residents and hearing the views of our community. I encourage anyone to come along,” Clr Dickerson said.
Member for the Dubbo electorate Dugald Saunders said that the regular chats are beneficial to both the community and elected members.
“The meet and greet is a great chance to speak with your elected officials in an informal setting, and I’m really looking forward to catching up with our local residents over my morning coffee,” Mr Saunders said.
Federal Member for Parkes Mark Coulton welcomed the opportunity to speak with his constituents in Dubbo.
“It’s not often that members of the community have access to all three of their elected representatives in the one place, so this is a good chance to have an informal chat and voice any matters with us,” Mr Coulton said.
“I always enjoy catching up with the Dubbo community”.
