REMOVAL OF GYM EQUIPMENT FOR LEGACY SHARED PATHWAY PROJECT
Dubbo Regional Council advises the community the southern section of gym equipment at the end of Church Street, Dubbo will be removed as part of the Legacy Shared Pathway project works. These removal works are expected to begin on Monday 30 October 2023. The northern section of the gym will not be impacted and will continue to available to the public.
The removal of the gym equipment is necessary to connect the new shared pathway along the back of Ollie Robbins Oval to the northern end of the pathway.
Following the completion of stage one of the Legacy Shared Pathway project, Council intends to replace the gym equipment as part of the asset maintenance and replacement program in the 2024/2025 budget.
The equipment had previously been identified as nearing end-of-life for Council owned assets.
Alternative gym equipment is available at Victoria Park behind the Dubbo Aquatic Leisure Centre and near the Western Plains Cultural Centre.
Council apologises for any inconvenience caused and thanks residents for their patience while the Legacy Shared Pathway project is undertaken.
