APPLICATIONS NOW OPEN FOR COMMUNITY GRANTS
Applications for the next round of funding for the Dubbo Regional Council (DRC) Community Services Fund and the Bodangora Wind Farm Community Benefit Fund will open on Thursday 1 February 2024.
Community groups and not-for-profit organisations from the Wellington district are invited to apply for a share of the Bodangora Wind Farm Community Benefit Fund. This funding is available because of the planning agreement made between Iberdrola Australia, Bodangora Wind Farm Pty Ltd and Council.
The Bodangora Wind Farm Fund provides funding to not-for-profit and community organisations to support projects and programs that deliver social, economic, or environmental outcomes to local communities of the Wellington and villages district.
The second round of the Community Services Fund provides community organisations with the opportunity to seek funding to support projects and activities that deliver social or environmental outcomes to the DRC Local Government Area and help to create, enhance, or build community well-being and amenity.
“If your community or not-for-profit organisation has upcoming activities, programs or projects that benefit our community I encourage you to see if you are eligible for funding from this round,” DRC Mayor Mathew Dickerson said.
“Each of these funds have very specific criteria and applicants are encouraged to visit the website to view the particular criteria for each grant.”
“The Community Services Fund and the Bodangora Wind Farm Fund are valuable financial assistance programs for our local community, and they have supported numerous organisations to deliver activities that enhance community well-being or deliver social, or environmental outcomes,” Clr Dickerson said.
All applications must be submitted via Smarty Grants - no paper applications or applications via email will be accepted. Eligible applications will be reviewed by an internal panel and considered by Council at its March 2024 meeting with funding presented to successful applicants on 15 April 2024.
Applications for both grant opportunities close on Thursday 29 February 2024. For more information visit www.dubbo.nsw.gov.au/funding
