DUBBO REGION TO CELEBRATE SENIORS FESTIVAL THIS MARCH
Dubbo Regional Council (DRC) will celebrate NSW Seniors Festival from 11 – 24 March 2024 with a range of events and activities in the Dubbo Region as well as a featured Seniors Festival Expo.
The Seniors Festival Expo will be held on Monday 18 March 2024 from 9:30am – 12pm at the Dubbo RSL Club and features 25 different stall holders from the region.
“We invite all local seniors to come along and find out about the many opportunities, services and groups in and around Dubbo. It is also a great opportunity to socialise with other seniors at the Expo,” Dubbo Regional Council’s Community Development Officer for Seniors and People with Disability, Rusan Hill, said.

A Councillors’ BBQ will be held in Wellington on Thursday 14 March 2024 from 12pm – 1pm at the Seniors Citizen’s Centre in Swift St. RSVP to Rusan Hill on 6801 4000
Seniors from Wellington and the surrounding areas are invited to attend the event.
“The NSW Seniors Festival recognises the important contributions seniors play in our community and offers seniors the opportunity to take part in many activities and events.”
“There is a variety of activities available throughout the Seniors Festival including at the Macquarie Regional Library and the Dubbo Regional Theatre and Convention Centre,” Ms Hill said.
Seniors can come along to the free brain training sessions on Tuesday 12 March from 10:30am – 12pm at the Wellington Library and Wednesday 20 March from 2pm – 3:30pm at the Dubbo Library. The Wellington Library is also offering tech help for seniors on weekdays during the festival.
The Dubbo Regional Theatre and Convention Centre (DRTCC) has three great shows across the festival including A Taste of Ireland, Yuldea by Bangarra Dance Theatre and Nunsense by Wesley House players. The Wellington Civic Theatre will also host Duende Flamenco Show on Saturday 16 March at 7:30pm. For show details and tickets visit www.drtcc.com.au.
This year’s NSW Seniors Festival theme is Reach Beyond and encourages seniors to enjoy new experiences and make new friends by participating in events throughout the week.
