MUMBIL BOIL WATER ALERT LIFTED
Dubbo Regional Council (DRC) has been working with NSW Health and the Department of Climate Change, Energy, the Environment and Water in relation to the Boil Water Alert issued for the Mumbil water supply area following a failure on Monday of the raw water transfer pump between the wells which caused technical issues for the water supply pumps and the chlorine dosing pump.
The treatment plant has been fully operational since late Monday afternoon and water testing has been undertaken over a number of days with the results from the final testing received on Friday.
The favourable water sample results along with adequate chlorine levels to treat bacteria and viruses and the water produced at the Mumbil treatment plant meeting the Australian Drinking Water Guidelines, now allows for the Boil Water Alert to be lifted for the Mumbil water supply area.
Council thanks the community of Mumbil for their patience and assistance while we worked through the issues.
