THE WHARF REVUE RETURNS TO DUBBO REGION

One of Australia’s leading political satire ensembles, The Wharf Revue, are returning to the Dubbo Regional Theatre and Convention Centre (DRTCC) stage this April to deliver their latest stinging indictment on Australian and global politics in their new show, Pride in Prejudice.

With the writing talent of Jonathan Biggins, Drew Forsythe and Phillip Scott, and the wickedly clever ensemble cast comprising of Mandy Bishop, David Whitney and Michael Tyack, Dubbo Region audiences can be assured of a hilarious night of spot-on impersonations, witty songs, and topical jabs at the political landscape.

Manager Regional Events Linda Christof said that The Wharf Revue has been developing a strong following in the region since their first appearance on the DRTCC stage in 2012.

“Dubbo Region audiences have come to love The Wharf Revue over the years, and their latest show Pride in Prejudice is sure to be another hit with patrons.”

“It’s an hour and 40 mins of political satire and astonishingly quick costume, wig, and make-up changes as they move through a variety of characters. Even if you are not into politics, you’ll certainly recognise the eccentricities of the personalities being portrayed,” Ms Christof said.

The Wharf Revue guarantees patrons that satirical content is up by seven per cent, the average laughter quotient is indexed at 8.3 per cent over the forward estimates but The Wharf Revue defies the cost-of-living pressure by keeping the ticket price at the same level as last year! Take that, Phillip Lowe!

Yes, that’s right: today’s comedy at yesterday’s prices! NO deposit, NO interest!

With over 23 years of experience in the political satire space, Australia’s most trusted revue-based practitioners will deliver patrons a night of unbridled laughs.

Pride in Prejudice will be performed for one night only on Wednesday 3 April 2024 at 7.30pm.

Secure your tickets by booking online at drtcc.com.au, by visiting the Box Office or by calling (02) 6801 4378.

This Season’s show is supported by DRTCC sponsors Maas, Marie Astley, Dubbo Dental and Your Favourite Vet – Duncan McGinness.
