FUNDING AVAILABLE FOR HERITAGE PROJECTS 2023/2024

A Local Heritage Fund has been established by Dubbo Regional Council (DRC) with the aid of a grant from the NSW Heritage Office. The purpose of the Fund is to provide grants to assist owners of heritage items with heritage conservation work. If your property is listed as a heritage item in the Dubbo Regional Local Environmental Plan 2022, you are eligible to apply for a heritage grant.

Eligible Projects

Eligible works to heritage-listed properties includes repair, maintenance and reinstatement of missing elements. Examples of suitable projects could include work on the structure of the building, verandahs, roofing, wall cladding, fences, decorative detail, painting and stormwater drainage.

Level of Funding Available

Typical grants would be in the range of $2,000 or less subject to availability of funds and the nature of work proposed. Applicants will be required to at least match any grant funding with an equivalent dollar amount of their own money. Council may consider labour and/or materials provided by the applicant as part of that matched funding as an in-kind contribution.

How to Apply

Complete the Heritage Assistance Application Form (PDF 620.2KB) and submit to Council by 5pm on Friday 6 October 2023.

Please read the Standard Conditions (PDF 230.4KB) before completing your application.

The more information you include, the easier and quicker it will be for Council to assess your application.

There is limited funding available and as a result, Council expects to be able to fund only those projects that are most appropriate and most achievable.

If you are uncertain about the scope or eligibility of your proposed work, please contact Council’s Senior Planner, Bo Moshage, on 6801 4000 during normal office hours for further information.
