CABARET-STYLE WELCOME TO 2022 SEASON
The Dubbo Regional Theatre and Convention Centre (DRTCC) 2022 season opener is a cabaret like no other – Club Soda.
Showing on Saturday 22 January at the Convention Centre, tickets are on sale now and can be bought individually or you can book a table to revisit the 1920s with a group of friends.
Club Soda - the newest concept from Raconteur Productions whose creative team specialises in telling stories through performance – explores the yearning to belong, featuring a girl named Soda and her friends along with the classic Mr Sandman and the dream-like magic he weaves.
“We are excited to finally present Club Soda now that there can be singing and dancing in venues,” said DRTCC Manager Linda Christof. “The Convention Centre is an ideal setting for this production with the Club Soda storyline interwoven with cabaret acts and Big Band numbers from the combined Wellington and Dubbo Tin Roof Band.
“It will be the first event of the year and will get everyone in a party mood – it’s definitely one to bring out the fishnet stockings, feather boas and sequins.”
The Convention Centre is being converted into a speakeasy-style cabaret setting with tables of eight and a dance floor for swing dancing.
Patrons are encouraged to bring a platter or order one through the Box Office. The Oxley Room Bar will be open throughout the night.
Tickets can be purchased online at the DRTCC's dedicated webpage, Sales, or by visiting the DRTCC Box Office.
