EVENT ASSISTANCE PROGRAM - ROUND ONE OPEN NOW
Event organisers planning events in the Dubbo Region are invited to apply for the first round of the Event Assistance Program for this financial year. Events play an important role in delivering economic, social and cultural outcomes; and Council is committed to supporting the development, growth and sustainability of local events.
Applications are now being accepted, after Round One was opened on Wednesday 27 July 2022. Applications are being accepted until Friday 2 September 2022, with all applications needing to be submitted via Smarty Grants; no paper applications or applications via email or fax will be accepted. The channels of assistance available for events include:
Community Events Fund
- Supporting local events that deliver social and cultural benefits. Events that received funding under this channel previously include Stuart Town Multicultural Festival, Under Western Skies Festival, Wellington Vintage Fair and Swap Meet, and Man from Ironbark Festival.
- Applications of up to $3,000 for events that must be held prior to 30 June 2023.
Destination Events Fund
- Supporting events that help elevate the Dubbo Region as a destination for events, and assist in driving tourism and economic benefits. Events that received funding under this channel previously include Dubbo Motor Bike Rally, Dubbo Fringe, Dubbo Eisteddfod, and Wellington Eisteddfod.
- Applications of up to $10,000 for events that must be held between 1 January 2023 and 31 December 2023.
