Accessibility, Quality Assurance and Cookies
Dubbo Regional Council uses programs such as Google Analytics, Silktide, UserWay and HotJar to improve accessibility, functionality and quality of information on our website. The information these platforms may temporarily store information which includes IP address, cookie information, the website they visited from, the date and duration of the visit, and information from the device including device type, operating system, screen resolution, language, location (Country) and web browser type.
These tools do not match any data collected with any personal information, which means website users browse our website anonymously.

Email addresses provided via this site will only be used in response to specific user queries and will not be added to any mailing lists, nor disclosed to any other party, without the users’ knowledge and consent unless required by law. Email addresses provided via this site to be promoted on group lists or directories are done so at user’s consent. Email addresses may be disclosed in standing committee or council meeting agendas or business papers if they are received by Council through petition or formal submission.

Dubbo Regional Council uses MailChimp, which provides online tools that can be used to create, send, and manage emails. MailChimp may collect personal information, such as distribution lists which contain email addresses, and other information relating to those email addresses. MailChimp is based in the United States of America (USA) and the information collected about your use of the website (including your IP address) will be transmitted to and stored by MailChimp on servers located outside Australia.
If you receive any email from a Council distribution list, you can unsubscribe from this list by clicking on an unsubscribe button within the email or by replying ‘UNSUBSCRIBE’ to the email address listed as the sender.
Social Networking Services
Dubbo Regional Council uses social networking sites such as Facebook, Instagram, X (formerly Twitter), LinkedIn, TikTok and YoutTube to communicate with the public about matters of interest. Our channels are public, which means any interactions with our accounts are also publicly available. The social networking service will also handle your personal information for its own purposes, this policy does not extend to social networking services as these sites have their own privacy policies.
