APPLICATIONS NOW OPEN FOR COUNCIL GRANTS PROGRAMS
Community organisations are invited to submit applications for three Dubbo Regional Council (DRC) grant programs, which support projects and events that will benefit residents.
The Community Services Fund provides a grant to community organisations to support projects that deliver social or environmental outcomes to the DRC Local Government Area and helps create, enhance, or build community well-being and amenity.
There is $168,611.21 available for specific projects in the first-round allocation of the Community Services Fund for 2024/2025.
Also available are funds from the Event Assistance Program.
Within the program, the Community Events Fund supports locally organised events that deliver social and cultural benefits, while the Destination Events Fund supports events that help elevate the Dubbo Region as a destination for events and assist in driving tourism and delivering significant economic benefits.
Under the program, events applying for the Community Events Fund can receive up to $3,000, while eligible groups applying for the Destination Events Fund can apply for up to $10,000 to assist with costs.
There is $40,000 available in the first round of the Event Assistance Program with $10,000 available for the Community Events Fund and $30,000 for the Destination Events Fund.
DRC Mayor Mathew Dickerson said the grants help a range of organisations to secure resources, deliver services and organise events to the betterment of the wider community.
“I encourage all not-for-profit and community groups to look at potential projects they can have funded through these three streams and apply to gain financial support.”
“The grants each have very specific criteria and applicants are invited to visit the website to look at the criteria and determine if they are eligible to apply,” Clr Dickerson said.
Applications are now open and close on Wednesday 31 July 2024. Applications must be completed via SmartyGrants and will not be accepted via paper, email, or fax.
Eligible applications will be reviewed by an internal panel and considered by Council at its August 2024 meeting.
For further information please contact Council on 6801 4000.
