DOG MAN THE MUSICAL COMES TO DUBBO REGION

Beloved children’s literary classic Dog Man is set to hit the Dubbo Regional Theatre and Convention Centre (DRTCC) stage this March, with two of the three performances already sold out to school bookings.

Students from Dubbo, Bogan Gate, Eumungerie, Nyngan, Tooraweenah, Wongarbon and Yeoval will descend on the DRTCC to join in on the singing and dancing canine action.

Dog Man the Musical, by CDP Kids, follows the hilarious antics of a dog-headed policeman who protects the city he lives in but who often finds himself in trouble when his dogginess takes over.

Dog Man was first published in 2016 and is the third spin-off from Dav Pilkey’s successful Captain Underpants series.

The show captures the hilarity and heart of Dav Pilkey’s beloved characters as they make the leap from page to stage.

Manager Regional Events Linda Christof said Dog Man the Musical explores the themes of friendship and the triumph of good-hearted over mean-spirited.

Dog Man the Musical is one of those special shows that presents complex themes to young audiences in a way they will understand, all while being absolutely hilarious to children and adults alike.”

“DRTCC wants everyone to be able to join in and enjoy the show, so a visual story to help audiences with additional sensory and learning needs has been developed by CDP Kids. This is available on our website,” Ms Christof said.

Can Dog Man save the city from Flippy the cyborg fish and his army of Beasty Buildings? Can he catch Petey, the world’s most evil cat, who has cloned himself to exact revenge on the doggy do-gooder? And will George and Harold finish their show before lunchtime?

Find out by booking your tickets to the final remaining performance, 6pm Monday 25 March 2024, at drtcc.com.au, visiting the Box Office or calling (02) 6801 4378.

The show is suitable for 6-12 years and goes for 65 minutes.

This production is proudly supported by DRTCC sponsors, Maas and Marie Astley.
