IN TAILS SET TO BRING LAUGHS TO DUBBO REGION

Famed comedian Colin Lane and award-winning Opera performer David Hobson will be bringing their two-man cabaret to the Dubbo Regional Theatre and Convention Centre (DRTCC) this June for one night of music, comedy, and dance.

From vastly different backgrounds, both performers have observed one another’s worlds and always thought, “Gee, wouldn’t it be nice to have a go at what that other guy does?”. Under this premise, patrons will enjoy these talented performers make a spirited attempt to immerse themselves in the other’s craft.

Manager Regional Events Linda Christof said it’s a unique and hilarious show that promises to enthral and entertain.

“It’s a captivating mix of opera, cabaret and comedy with a bit of vaudevillian slapstick banter. It’s uplifting and good clean entertainment. We all know David Hobson is quick witted and cheeky but who knew that Colin Lane could hold a tune as a Baritone?,” Ms Christof said.

Colin Lane, comedian and professional show off, is best known as the Lano from Lano and Woodley, Australia's most beloved comedy duo for over 20 years. He has also worked with Melbourne Theatre Company and Sydney Theatre Company and has chalked up numerous television appearances on Good News Week, Spicks and Specks, Thank God You’re Here and Neighbours.

David Hobson, tenor and composer, is one of Australia’s best-known Opera performers with a repertoire that spans all styles from Baroque through to Pop including award-winning performances with Opera Australia. A much sought after concert artist, Hobson frequently appears in Music Viva, Handel's Messiah and Elijah, as well as numerous performances with Symphony and Philharmonic Orchestras and Opera in the Domain. Hobson previously toured to the DRTCC with Marina Prior in their show The 2 Of Us.

The Opera singer extraordinaire and legendary funny man will be accompanied by pianist David Cameron who complements the pairing beautifully.
