WASTE FACILITIES CASHLESS FROM 1 JULY 2024

Dubbo Regional Council’s (DRC) waste facilities and transfer stations will be cashless from 1 July 2024 to reduce property damage and increase staff efficiency.

Residents can continue to dispose of a number of recyclable items that are segregated on delivery free of charge at both Whylandra and Wellington waste facilities.

These items include domestic quantities of car batteries, old TVs and domestic e-waste, gas bottles, polystyrene, scrap metal and degassed whitegoods.

The change to cashless operation will come into effect from 1 July 2024 at all DRC waste facilities including Whylandra Waste and Recycling Facility, Wellington Waste Transfer Station and the transfer stations at Stuart Town, Geurie, Ballimore, Eumungerie and Toongi.

All cards will be accepted and there will be no additional merchant charges. The waste facilities also accept MyDubbo Region cards which can be loaded at the Dubbo and Wellington Visitor Information Centres.
