APPLICATIONS NOW OPEN FOR GRANT PROGRAMS

Dubbo Regional Council (DRC) is inviting community organisations to apply for round two of the Community Services Fund, to support upcoming services that will benefit the local region.

The Bodangora Wind Farm Community Benefit Fund is also open to community groups in the Wellington district to support projects that provide a direct benefit to the local communities in the area.

The Community Services Fund provides a grant to community organisations to support services that deliver social or environmental outcomes to the residents of the DRC Local Government Area and helps create, enhance or build community well-being and amenity.

There is $161,716 available in the second-round allocation of the Community Services Fund for 2024/2025 and $66,682 for round 10 of the Bodangora Wind Farm Community Benefit Fund.

“These grants can help community groups with financial support to secure resources, deliver services and coordinate programs for the betterment of our community,” Dubbo Regional Council Mayor, Josh Black said.

“I encourage community groups to look at potential projects that can have funding through these specific funding streams and apply to gain financial assistance.”

Some of the organisations who have benefited from the last round of funding from the Community Services Fund include Dubbo Melanoma March Group, U3A Dubbo Chapter, Dubbo and District Can Assist, ORISCON and Wiradjuri Wellington Aboriginal Town Common.

“Community groups can visit Council’s website to see the specific criteria and determine if they are eligible to apply,” Clr Black said.

Applications are now open and close on Friday 28 February 2025. Applications must be made via SmartyGrants and will not be accepted via paper, email or fax.

Eligible applications will be reviewed by an internal panel and considered by Council at its March 2025 meeting.
