HAZARD REDUCTION BURNING AT AIRPORT
Dubbo Regional Airport will be closed from 5pm on 18 January and reopen at 5:30am on 19 January, with the Rural Fire Service to conduct hazard reduction burning at the site.
The burn will take place in a large paddock near the airport however it is expected there may be significant smoke seen within the area.
Residents within the area have been notified by letter and are encouraged to keep doors and windows closed to prevent smoke entering their homes during the burn period.
Members of the general public are asked to stay away from the area.
If weather conditions become unfavourable, the hazard reduction burn will be postponed until conditions become suitable.
The burn will not impact any current flights into or out of the airport.
