‘HUES OF HARMONY’ TO LIGHT UP DRTCC STAGE
Audiences will spend a Saturday afternoon being transported to a world of vivid colours and dynamic rhythms as local dancers take to the stage at the Dubbo Regional Theatre and Convention Centre (DRTCC) this March to bring Hues of Harmony to life.
Hues of Harmony, which is a collaboration between DRTCC and ORISCON Inc., will showcase both the timeless beauty and contemporary flair of South Asian dance forms imbedded with a storyline.
From the intricate footwork of classical Indian styles to the energetic beats of modern interpretations, each performance will reflect the heart and passion of the talented local ensemble members.
Performing Arts and Venues Coordinator, Tiffany Rowland, said there was strong community demand for a Bollywood style show.
“The community were clear in what they wanted this year: a dance extravaganza which celebrates the music, dance, colour and energy of South Asian culture. So, we partnered with Orana residents of Indian Sub-Continental heritage and the result was Hues of Harmony.”
“As a venue, we want to make sure everyone feels like they belong and can share in the experience of live performance. Patrons are encouraged to wear tradition dress from their home of origin and join us for a night that promises to leave audiences inspired,” Ms Rowland said.
ORISCON spokesperson Gargi Ganguly said the event is about bringing together Indian subcontinental cultures in the Dubbo Region to celebrate diversity, harmony, and love through music and storytelling.
“This spectacular event is a testament to the power of dance and comedy to connect and inspire people across all boundaries. The evening will be filled with dance, comedy, love, colour, music, and even a wedding whilst reminding us of the beauty in diversity and the strength found in unity,” Ms Ganguly said.
Hues of Harmony will be performed from 2pm on Saturday 22 March.

Tickets to Hues of Harmony will entitle the bearer to a 30 per cent discount on tickets to The ORISCON Harmony Gala Nite 2025! on Saturday 5 April.
