ROOM ON THE BROOM FLIES INTO THE DRTCC

There are just a few seats left for the final performance of Room on the Broom at Dubbo Regional Theatre and Convention Centre (DRTCC).

The popularity of the show saw the theatre add an additional performance to their program, with three sessions already sold out and staff anticipating tickets to the 6pm show on Tuesday 25 March will no doubt sell fast in the coming weeks.

“This has been an exceptionally popular show with the first two daytime shows selling out within the first few months of the announcement. We added another show, and it has sold out too.

“If you want to come to Room on the Boom, you need to get in quick for the 6pm show to avoid disappointment,” DRTCC Performing Arts and Venues Coordinator, Tiffany Rowland said.

Room on the Broom is based on the much-loved picture book by Julia Donaldson and Axel Scheffler and brought to you by the award-winning team behind The Gruffalo and The Gruffalo's Child stage shows.

Room on the Broom brings together physical theatre, music and beautiful puppetry to convey this much-loved story about friendship, sharing and working together to the stage.

Room on the Broom is ideal for children aged 3 – 8 years and we are sure their parents and carers will enjoy it just as much.”

Room on the Broom is about a witch and her cat flying happily on their broomstick – until a stormy wind blows away the witch’s hat, bow and wand.

A helpful dog, bird and frog find the witch’s lost things, and they all hop on the broom for a ride. But this broomstick is not meant for five and – CRACK – the broom snaps in two!

“Come and enjoy a fun and educational evening with the family and see this much-loved children’s book come to life on stage,” Ms Rowland said.

Room on the Broom’s duration is 55 minutes with tickets $29 adult and $23 youth/child.

Tickets are available online at drtcc.com.au, at the DRTCC Box Office or by calling 6801 4378.
